The founders of EGYCOM are professors of Cairo, Ain
Shams and Alexandria Universities in fields, associated with

Mission
1. Empowerment of people in local communities: scientifically,
technologically and economically and support of entrepreneurial
spirit among them.
2. Recognition – and support of – specificity of local communities
in the social, cultural and ecological sense.
3. Provision of productive labor for those in need of in various
socio-cultural local contexts.
4. Formulation of life styles and patterns of consumption and
production harmonious with sustainable development.
Activities of EGYCOM
1. Recording and preservation of technical heritage and traditional
knowledge acquired by local communities.
2. Development of appropriate technologies for the manufacture and
utilization of local resources.
3. Support by all possible means of entrepreneurs, members of local
communities.
4. Dissemination of culture provoking interest in local resources and
directing the powers of thought and imagination to discover new
forms of utilization of – or innovative products from – local
resources.
5. Execution of small-scale projects relying on the competitive
advantages of the ecosystem and cultural specificity of local
communities
6. Holding of seminars, workshops and conferences in order to
disseminate; a new culture of sustainable use of local resources,
and a new approach of innovation more harmonious with
